Police will allege champion cyclist Rohan Dennis rode ‘recklessly’, causing the death of his Olympian wife Melissa Hoskins, court documents reveal.
Dennis, 33, will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court next Wednesday to answer charges relating to the death of Ms Hoskins, who was allegedly struck by the car driven by Mr Dennis outside the home on December 30. couple in northern Adelaide.
After the incident, Mrs Hoskins, a 32-year-old mother of two, was rushed to the Royal Adelaide Hospital for treatment but died overnight from serious injuries.

Mr Dennis was later arrested on charges of dangerous driving and careless driving.
The ABC reports that documents filed with the court show that police will allege that Mr. Dennis was “driving recklessly or at a speed or in a manner that was dangerous to any person.”
“And that culpable negligence, recklessness, or other conduct caused the death of Melissa Marie Dennis,” the document alleges.
Mr Dennis, who has been granted bail, attended a memorial service for Ms Hoskins on what would have been her 33rd birthday.

A funeral service was held in Perth on January 17 for Ms Hoskins, who competed as a cyclist for Australia at the 2012 London and 2016 Rio Olympics.
Mr. Dennis is one Silver medalist at the 2012 Olympic team pursuit and 2011 world team pursuit champion.
In 2015 he also won the Tour Down Under.
