A teenager has been treated for head injuries after he was allegedly attacked by two boys with a hammer in broad daylight.
Police were called to Glenfield Drive, in Currans Hill, southwest Sydney, at about 4.30pm Tuesday after reports of suspicious behavior in the area.
Two teenagers, aged 16 and 17, allegedly pulled another 16-year-old boy from the back of a car and assaulted him.

Police allege the two teens then punched him in the face before he could run away.
“As he walked away, he was reportedly hit on the back of the head with a hammer,” a NSW police spokesman said.
The two teens quickly fled after the boy ran away, with one of the teens appearing to record the incident on his phone.
Police found the boy with head injuries after responding to the call.
The boy was treated at the scene by NSW Paramedics and taken to Liverpool Hospital.
A resident who saw the alleged attack said the teens appeared to be wearing masks.
“He was pretty scary, he actually had a mask on out of a movie,” they said 7News.
Another neighbor added, “It was terrifying. We wondered what was happening, but we had no idea.’

After investigating, police visited a home in Bardia, north of Currans Hill, where they arrested two teenage boys.
They were both taken to Narellan police station where they were charged with reckless wounding in company.
“The older boy was also charged with breach of bail,” a NSW police spokesman said.
Both boys have been denied bail and will appear in juvenile court on Thursday.
