CUNY adjunct professor is filmed ATTACKING onlookers who filmed her tearing down posters for kidnapped Israelis
An academic has gone viral after attacking onlookers who filmed them tearing down posters for kidnapped Israelis held hostage during the shocking Hamas attacks.
The popular Stop AntiSemitism account posted the video of Callum Zimmerman, a graduate student at Stony Brook University and previously listed as an adjunct professor at York College, which operates under the City University of New York system.
Zimmerman – whose biography uses these pronouns – tells a couple filming them that they are “so f**king lame,” and then, asked what they are doing while removing posters, replies, “Go colonize somewhere else.” ‘
They say ‘free Palestine’ after the couple filming told them: ‘Shame on you.’ The footage shot by the couple then cuts to Zimmerman saying “f**k you.” They then appear to push one of the people filming.
A spokesperson for Stony Brook University told DailyMail.com that Zimmerman is a graduate student.
“The social media post about a Stony Brook University graduate student being widely circulated on social media is despicable and infuriating and in no way represents the views of Stony Brook University,” Stony Brook officials said in a statement.

“During this deeply troubling time, we must unequivocally condemn anti-Semitism and support every member of our community,” they added.
The school claims that they “do not believe” that Zimmerman “engaged in such conduct on campus,” but that they will conduct an investigation.
“Additionally, Stony Brook has implemented policies to support any student who feels they have been treated unfairly and wants to reaffirm our commitment to the deeply held institutional values of caring, respect and civility.”
DailyMail.com has contacted York College for confirmation of Zimmerman’s employment and a response.
Her now-deleted biography for her employers reads: “Callen Zimmerman explores the intricacies of material culture and queer experience, as a fashion freak, teacher, and creator.
They are graduates of the CUNY Graduate Center’s Liberal Studies master’s program and are currently studying “women’s, gender, and sexuality studies” in a PhD program at Stony Brook.
‘Here, Callen will continue to explore the clothed body as a technology of power, using a multitude of creative means, looking at the ways in which queers have used self-styling to convey desire, build affinity and signal safety .’
Zimmerman teaches fashion studies and art history at York, although their biography at the school has since been removed.
It is the latest example of anti-Israel and anti-Semitic behavior from academia in the wake of the attack that killed 1,400 Israelis.

At CUNY, however, outrage over student behavior has spread dating back to last May, when a student speech led to people calling for a defunding of the school.
Fatima Mousa Mohammed was chosen by her classmates as the 2023 commencement speaker at CUNY Law’s graduation ceremony on May 12.
Her thirteen-minute speech has only now become public after CUNY uploaded it to YouTube. Initially, the school kept it private.
In her comments, Mohammed — whose family is Yemeni but who grew up in Queens — called the NYPD “fascist,” accused New York Mayor Eric Adams of condoning “murder,” labeled the law a “manifestation of white supremacy ‘ and accused Israelis of ‘murder’. settler colonialism’.
Her comments sparked anger and fear among Jewish groups, who are now demanding to know why CUNY allowed such pro-Palestinian commentary at the commencement ceremony for a second year.
Last year’s speaker, Nerdeen Kiswani, is also a pro-Palestinian activist who used her remarks to comment on the conflict with similar vehemence.
“I have faced a campaign of Zionist intimidation by well-funded organizations linked to the Israeli government and army,” she said.
She then called a school-organized trip to Israel “an insult to everyone at CUNY who is fighting for liberation.”
Fatima Mousa Mohammed was chosen by her classmates as the 2023 commencement speaker at CUNY Law’s graduation ceremony on May 12. Her comments about Israel, Palestine, the NYPD and the armed forces caused an uproar.
The first speaker in 2022 was Nerdeen Kiswani, a pro-Palestinian activist who used her remarks to comment on the conflict with similar vehemence. “I have faced a campaign of Zionist intimidation by well-funded organizations linked to the Israeli government and army,” she said. She then called a school-organized trip to Israel “an insult to everyone at CUNY who is fighting for liberation.”
In a statement, a school spokesperson said only that the comments at the outset reflected the views of students, but not those of the school.
The annual tuition cost at CUNY Law is $15,000. The national average is $50,000.
The subsidies are largely due to the funding CUNY receives for its 25 colleges from all three branches of government.
In 2022, CUNY received $2.8 billion in government funding; According to CUNY’s 2023 budget request, $2 billion will come from New York State, $527 million from New York City and $312 million from federal education programs.
Administrators requested a total of $400 million more for this year and also proposed a fee freeze.
