Another twist in the never-ending saga of rejection that German giants Bayern Munich find themselves in.
Crystal Palace and Oliver Glanser are the latest to reject the 32-time Bundesliga champions’ progress.
Sky Sports Germany have reported that the people of Munich were holding talks with Crystal Palace manager Glasner in an attempt to lure the Austrian manager back to the Bundesliga.
Glasner, who is very familiar with the Bundesliga, could have been the perfect fit for Bayern as ex-Eintracht Frankfurt has a good understanding of the German league and also shares a close relationship with Bayern’s Sporting Christoph Freund.
However, their quest to find a permanent replacement for Thomas Tuchel has once again proven more difficult than expected as Palace are reported to have made it clear that Glasner would not be allowed to join the German club.

Sky Germany has revealed that Crystal Palace’s Oliver Glasner has been identified as a possible replacement, but Palace have made it clear that Glasner would not be given permission
Since taking over the Eagles in February, only Arsenal and Manchester City have won more Premier League games and points than Crystal Palace
Glasner has impressed since joining Crystal Palace in February. Their victory over Wolves at the weekend has seen Glasner win five of his last six Premier League games in charge.
Which in turn also saw the Eagles leapfrog their opponents and move up to 12th in the table, meaning they are one game away from a possible finish in the top half of the table.
Since joining Palace in February, only Manchester City (nine wins, 29 points) and Arsenal (nine wins, 29 points) have achieved more points in the Premier League compared to Glasner’s side (six wins, 21 points).
It has now been three months since it was announced that Thomas Tuchel would leave the Allianz Arena this season.
While many thought the German side would hire a new coach within minutes, they have struggled to attract the sport’s biggest names to the Allianz Arena.
Munich’s original target was Bayer Leverkusen’s Xabi Alosno, who has had an undefeated season with the German team.
It is now being reported that Hansi Flick is now the leading candidate to take over from Tuchel
Some other big names besides Glasner who have rejected talks with Bayern include former Manchester United and current Austrian national team coach Ralf Rangnick, as well as Bayer Leverkusen’s Xabi Alonso.
The German Giants, who failed to win a trophy in a single season for the first time since the 2011/2012 season, were desperate for a replacement for Thomas Tuchel.
The German side have now turned their attention to Hansi Flick and have identified him as their new first-choice candidate to take over from Tuchel.
