Donald Trump told Barack Obama he had an urgent secret to share as they sat together at Jimmy Carter’s funeral.
In a stunning turn of events, Trump said it was important that he spoke privately with Obama “today” so they could “work something out.”
Trump suggested they find a “quiet place” where they could discuss the mysterious matter after the service, lip reader Jeremy Freeman told DailyMail.com.
It remained unclear whether the crucial information Trump had to tell Obama was related to a national security matter or something else.
But the animated conversation between them made the audience very curious about what they were whispering about.
The two men have been denouncing each other for years as deep-rooted political enemies.
But they seemed friendly as they sat together in a pew and had a long and cordial conversation before the service began at the National Cathedral in Washington DC.
At one point, Obama held his service sheet in front of his face so his words could not be deciphered.

Trump told Obama they needed to discuss something in a “quiet place.”
But when both men were visible, the lip reader could make out their comments.
In one interaction, Trump leaned into Obama’s ear and said, “I’ve pulled out of that.” It’s the conditions. Can you imagine that?’
Obama laughed, and Trump continued, saying, “…and then I’ll…”
At another point, Obama said to Trump, “Are you going back to the foy afterwards?”
Trump replied: ‘Call me in the foy afterwards, yes.’
The word ‘foy’ was unclear to the lip reader, but it could be that they were arranging a later meeting in the ‘foyer’.
Obama also told Trump, “Can you just… it should be fine.”
Trump then responded, “I can’t talk, we need to find a quiet place, sometimes this is a matter of importance and we need to do this outside so we can definitely work on it today.”
Obama then nodded and both men said “fine” and “OK.”
Barack Obama and Donald Trump appeared to have settled their differences at the agency
It came as Carter was celebrated for his personal humility and public service before, during and after his presidency.
All five of his living presidential successors were present.
President Joe Biden, the first sitting senator to support Carter’s run for the White House in 1976, delivered a eulogy.
Trump had Obama sitting on his right, and his wife Melania on his left. Michelle Obama did not attend the funeral.
At one point, Kamala Harris, who was sitting in the row in front of Obama and Trump, turned to watch their conversation, then looked back forward and let out a long sigh.
However, the 82-year-old Biden, who will leave office in 11 days, hinted at politics by repeating several times that “character” was Carter’s most important attribute.
he appeared to be launching an attack on Trump when he said, “We have an obligation not to give hate a safe haven” and pointed out the importance of standing up against “abuse of power.”
The comments reflected Biden’s typical criticism of Trump.
