Cruz Beckham jokes brother Brooklyn is cooking ‘dog risotto’ as the chef poses with his pooch before rusting up the rice dish in latest tutorial

Brooklyn Beckham was teased by his younger brother Cruz on Thursday when he posted his latest cooking tutorial on Instagram.

The 25-year-old amateur chef posed with his beloved dog Lamb as he stood by the stove and told the camera that he was making risotto.

Cruz, 19, joked in the comments: “I thought you were making risotto for dogs for a second, but this looks amazing.”

David and Victoria Beckham’s eldest son expertly chopped onions and garlic, then fried scallops to serve with the dish.

He walked casually, his baseball cap on backwards, and then sat down to enjoy his meal, giving the camera a thumbs-up.

Earlier this year, Brooklyn impressed Michelin-starred chef Gordon Ramsay by creating a beef wellington with fillet, which was estimated to be worth around £120.

He brought in Cruz as sous chef and spared no expense when it came to ingredients for the Instagram tutorial.

After searing the expensive tenderloin, Brooklyn started making the mushroom sauce, adding a generous splash of $44 Woodinville Bourbon whiskey.

He spread the beef with mustard and wrapped it in a layer of mushroom pate and Parma ham, then Cruz helped wrap it in pastry and brushed it with egg glaze.

A leading London butcher told MailOnline: ‘When I look at the cut of meat Brooklyn is cooking here, I think it’s about 2lbs of really good beef.

‘Beef fillet is about the most expensive ingredient on the butcher’s counter. This isn’t quite a whole fillet, but for a good piece of grass-fed and probably organic beef of that size I think he would have spent around £120.’

Proud father David wrote in the comments, “So sweet boys, I love you both” (sic), and Cruz was so happy he wrote, “Brooklyn and I are opening a store that only sells Beef Wellington.”

And Brooklyn even received a special compliment from Gordon, 57, who holds eight Michelin stars and is known for his blunt and critical remarks.

It’s no surprise that the TV chef approves of Brooklyn’s recipe, considering he taught the young man how to make a beef wellington.

He said in a 2015 interview: ‘I actually really enjoy cooking. Gordon Ramsay taught me how to make a great beef wellington.’

Another said: ‘Okay, we’ve gone a step further than the humble cold sandwich. I’m not sure if anyone outside of editing is helping, but it looks good and we have to give it that’.

When Brooklyn made his TV cooking debut in 2021, he was ridiculed for making a sandwich.

He surprised viewers of the Today programme with his English breakfast sandwich, a dish he ‘learned from his great-grandmother’.

Gordon praised Brooklyn for his efforts, but others were unimpressed with the fact that he dipped his brush back into the mustard pot after putting it on the beef.

One of the critics said: ‘Looks fantastic, but put the mustard in a separate container so you don’t contaminate the whole mustard jar! Basic training in hygiene!!!’.

Brooklyn’s cooking has been criticized in the past, with many criticizing his simple recipes, his use of expensive ingredients, and accusations of nepotism.

In a recent interview with Insider, he stressed that he is not fazed by the criticism, because he knows that he “works his ass off” and that “cooking makes him happy.”

He said: ‘Honestly, I’m used to the hate. It doesn’t really bother me. Cooking makes me happy. I have more important things to worry about than people saying a bit of crap about me… I do my thing and work my ass off.’

Brooklyn told the publication, “Honestly, I’m used to the hate. It doesn’t really bother me. Cooking makes me happy. I have more important things to worry about than people saying some shit about me…

“My message to them is to keep writing whatever they want to write. There will always be people who will try to bring you down.

“I’m doing my thing and working my ass off. So they can keep writing whatever they want, but it won’t bother me — I’m just going to keep doing my thing.”
