A couple who harbor endless hatred for their ‘difference in appearance’ have hit back at cruel trolls – and shared their ‘secret’ to a happy marriage.
Scott, from Houston, Texas, and his wife Divine, from the Philippines, have been together for seven years after she messaged him on Facebook thinking he was someone else.
After several conversations, the couple began a long-distance relationship before Divine moved to the US and the couple got married.
In 2021, the couple began posting videos on TikTok about their relationship and love story, but hundreds of cruel critics refuse to believe they “could ever be together” and accuse their relationship of being “fake.”
But they turned a blind eye to the haters and instead shared how their marriage has only gotten stronger.

In 2021, the couple started posting videos on TikTok about their relationship and were flooded with nasty comments about their difference in appearance
Scott suffers from a chronic autoimmune disease called scleroderma, which started when he was 13 and “changed” his appearance, but said it is “not expected to get worse.”
In a video the couple in love revealed that after an argument they always communicate to express their opinions and feelings.
“We talk things out, and no one leaves. We will stay and grow together,” they wrote.
Like many couples, they always try to resolve their differences to move forward.
Their relationship has captured the attention of the masses and they have gained over half a million TikTok followers in the past two years.
Many assume that Divine is only with Scott because he “has money” or to get a “green card” to stay in the US. But they often make fun of the haters and don’t seem to be affected by the comments.
In November 2017, Scott visited Divine in the Philippines for the first time and later proposed to her. They continued their long-distance relationship for four years until Divine moved to the US.
Now the couple has revealed the secret to a healthy, long marriage
“We talk things out, and no one leaves. We stay and grow together,” they wrote in a video. But many assume Divine is only with Scott because he ‘has money’ or to get a ‘green card’ to stay in the US
‘Before I met Divine, life was pretty boring. My life came to a complete standstill,” Scott said on YouTube video.
Regarding the hurtful comments, he said, “Because you see the same thing over and over again. There is simply no effect anymore.
“We’re just two normal people… there’s always going to be someone who doesn’t think about it (your appearance),” he said, and Divine couldn’t agree more.
Divine said it’s “hurtful” to think others believe she’s only with Scott for financial reasons, and she claims this couldn’t be further from the truth.

Although the couple is happily married, they receive nasty comments from strangers.
In a TikTok video that has racked up 14,000 views, the couple listed the “weirdest questions” they’ve been asked by strangers on the internet.
From ‘are you a real couple?’ to ‘are you sexually active?’ and ‘does your wife ever wash her hair?’, the haters don’t hold back.
In response to the comments, the couple posts somewhat snarky comments to clarify the hate.
Based on her appearance, another person thought Divine was “really young,” but in a TikTok video, Scott said with a laugh, “Don’t let your eyes deceive you, she’s a lot older than you think she is.”
Scott said Divine “freaked out” when he proposed and said “yes” (left). Although the couple is happily married, many have questioned the authenticity of their relationship (right, pictured now)
“If you’re at work I doubt she’s loyal to you,” one person wrote in the comments of one video.
“This girl is angry when she uses it. The sad thing is he doesn’t realize it,” another commented, while a third said: “Bro, there’s no way he’s hitting that.”
Another said: ‘Where is wifie’s wedding ring?’
From ‘are you a real couple?’ to ‘are you sexually active?’ and ‘does your wife ever wash her hair?’, the haters don’t hold back
But not only is the couple getting hate, they also have a number of fans who seem to support their relationship

‘Wow, you’re both so stylish! Very nice couple indeed,” one person wrote.
Another said: ‘You guys are a cute couple.’
A third clapped back at the haters, saying: ‘Why are you so concerned about what they post on THEIR account? Get a life.’
