Princess Mary of Denmark looked elegant as she presented the awards with her husband Prince Frederik at the Concert Hall in Denmark on Saturday.

The royal, formerly known as Mary Donaldson, stunned in a long navy blue velvet dress as she took to the stage.

The 51-year-old added a pair of navy blue stilettos and wore silver statement earrings.

The brunette’s hair was pulled back from her face and she opted for a sleek makeup palette with rosy cheeks and pink lipstick.

Frederik looked dapper in a gray tuxedo, matching colored vest and white button-up shirt for the event.

He completed his look with a navy blue tie and a pair of black dress shoes.

The Crown Princess becomes Queen of Denmark when Frederick ascends the throne, following the death or abdication of his mother.

When Mary met Frederick at the Slip Inn during the 2000 Olympics, she had no idea he was the heir to a European throne.

The couple maintained a long-distance relationship until Mary moved to Copenhagen, where they married in May 2004.

Since her marriage to her prince, she has returned to Australia at least nine times, four of which were official visits.
