The Texas company blamed for last week’s $5.4 billion outage at Microsoft is being ridiculed for offering angry customers a $10 Uber Eats gift card.

CrowdStrike, an Austin-based cybersecurity firm, sent the $10 food stamps to affected customers along with an apology email.

“We would like to thank you very much for this and apologize for the inconvenience,” the message said.

‘To show our gratitude, your next cup of coffee or late night snack is on us!’

CrowdStrike’s ‘Falcon Sensor’ caused Microsoft Windows to crash, resulting in the now infamous ‘Blue Screen of Death’ that many people saw on July 23

CrowdStrike caused the meltdown on Friday by releasing a massive software update that crashed computers around the world.

Airlines were among the hardest hit, with tens of thousands of flights canceled worldwide. Delta Airlines was unable to resume a full schedule for another week.

The company’s “Falcon Sensor” caused Microsoft Windows to crash, resulting in the now-infamous “Blue Screen of Death” seen by many people on July 23.

Falcon uses artificial intelligence and machine learning to detect cyber threats in real time.

As part of the mea cupla tour, CrowdStrike published a plan in a blog post to prevent future outages.

The company will no longer release mass updates to avoid global outages.

The company has also promised to improve its verification system so that it can identify faulty code.

Regarding the $10 Uber vouchers, CrowdStrike confirmed that they have sent the coupons to customers.

‘Uber has flagged it as fraud due to high usage,’ CNN reported.

While the gift cards were intended as a goodwill gesture and not actual compensation for lost profits, CrowdStrike has yet to disclose whether it will refund its customers.

However, lawsuits to get the money back are expected soon.

The tech company has already faced a DEI complaint alleging that the company sidelined its white, male employees as part of a diversity hiring program.

A conservative legal action group alleges that CrowdStrike favors women and minorities in jobs and promotions in coding, programming and other fields through diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) policies.
