CrossFit Games athlete Lazar Đukić vanishes during livestreamed swim race in Texas… before cops make horrific discovery
CrossFit athlete Lazar Đukić disappeared into the water during a live broadcast of the CrossFit Games in Texas.
He was last seen about 100 yards from the end of the 800-meter swim in Fort Worth, Texas, according to Subway.
His team told organizers that he had not gotten out of the water.
Emergency workers removed a body from Marine Creek Lake around 10 a.m. Thursday and placed it in a body bag, officials said. CBS News TexasIt is unclear whether the body was Đukić’s.
The swimming event, the first event of the games, was scheduled to begin early in the morning but was cancelled after police began searching for the athlete at around 8am.

First responders pulled a body from Marine Creek Lake on Thursday and placed it in a body bag. It is unclear if the body was Đukić
All spectators were asked to leave the premises while the investigation took place, Metro reported.
The livestreams were halted when organizers canceled the swim meet. A woman who was livestreaming told viewers that it “looks like something serious happened.”
The Serbian has been competing in the CrossFit Games for years and is ranked 88th worldwide in the men’s category. In Serbia he is ranked 3rd.
The athlete posted ads for TYR Sport on his Instagram Story yesterday, smiling excitedly for the camera.
Just a few hours ago, Đukić posted a link to the livestream of his event.
Đukić said on social media video CrossFit is the “only thing I’m good at” and he says he “works hard” because he knows his fellow athletes do too.
“I know someone next to me is working hard, so he’s pushing me hard mentally and physically,” he said. “I can’t let my brother beat me.”
His brother Luka also competes in CrossFit challenges. Luka has not spoken publicly about his brother.
Đukić also said he hopes to get on the podium this season.
“It was a real struggle coming from a small country where there wasn’t a single CrossFit box when I started,” the four-time CrossFit Games athlete said. More than fitness until 2023.

When he got home, he bought equipment and started training, the news agency said.
He qualified for the CrossFit Games in 2019, but opted out, instead making his debut in 2021, finishing ninth.
