Woman of the Hour: Comedian Chelsea Handler will host the event, replacing Taye Diggs, who had hosted the previous four years in a row.

The main streaming platform Netflix received a total of 28 nominations, 13 for film, 15 for television, which is the most for any studio or network for the sixth consecutive year.

It was also announced that Hollywood icon Jeff Bridges will receive the Critics Choice Lifetime Achievement Award at this year’s show.

Comedian Chelsea Handler will host the event and replace Taye Diggs, who had hosted the previous four years in a row.

The Critics Choice Awards are given annually by the Critics Choice Association to honor the best achievements in film and television.

There will no doubt be many interested parties as, historically, are the most accurate predictor of Academy Award nominations.
