Cristiano Ronaldo didn’t need a second wild card to wow fans during his opener in Saudi Arabia, as the Portuguese star produced a sublime nutmeg before scoring twice in a nine-goal thriller against PSG in Riyadh on Thursday.
Captaining an all-star lineup made up of players from Al-Nassr and Al-Hilal, the 37-year-old faced competitive rival Lionel Messi in a mid-season friendly against the French champions, who took time out from their Ligue 1. campaign to travel to the Middle East.
Ronaldo, who joined Al-Nassr on a record £173m a year deal following his acrimonious departure from Manchester United, won the Man of the Match award for his impressive display, despite losing 5-4 against Manchester United. psg.
