Error, continent, Christian! Former Manchester United striker Ronaldo says he is happy to be playing in SOUTH AFRICA at his press conference where he introduced him to Saudi Arabia’s Al-Nassr.

Cristiano Ronaldo has insisted that he is happy to have moved to South Africa, in his official presentation with the Al-Nassr club of Saudi Arabia.

The 37-year-old striker’s contract with Manchester United was terminated in November in an acrimonious outing after an explosive interview with Piers Morgan criticizing the club.

Ronaldo has now signed for the Middle East side in a terrific £175m a year deal, but he made a bizarre misstep by outlining a move to South Africa in his first Al-Nassr press conference.

Speaking to the assembled media, the superstar claimed he had “plenty of opportunities” to join European and South American clubs before signing the mega-money deal.
