Cristiano Ronaldo is distraught as Al Nassr miss out on the Saudi Pro League title after their 1-1 draw against Al Ettifaq – as Al Ittihad are crowned champions

There was frustration for Cristiano Ronaldo when Al Nassr missed out on the Saudi Pro League title.

Ronaldo’s side drew 1-1 against Al Ettifaq, while Al Ittihad were crowned champions after their 3-0 success away to Al Feiha.

Al Nassr has one game left against Al Fateh this season, but they cannot catch Al Ittihad, who is five points ahead at the top of the table.

It was a frustrating game all round for Ronaldo, who couldn’t get on the scoresheet and was substituted in the 84th minute.

Youssoufou Niakate put Al Ettifaq ahead two minutes before the break, while Luiz Gustavo equalized for Al Nassr in the 56th minute.

After leaving Manchester United last November, Ronaldo secured a move to Al Nassr and made his debut in January.

So far, the Portuguese star has scored 14 goals in 16 league appearances for Al Nassr and is the fifth-highest scorer in the division this season, although he joined mid-season.

However, Al Nassr topped the table when Ronaldo joined, but they ended up missing out on the league title.
