Cristiano Ronaldo walks through the tunnel through TEARS as Portugal becomes the latest World Cup heavyweight to be eliminated after a stunning loss to giant-killing Morocco.

Cristiano Ronaldo is captured walking around crying as Portugal is knocked out of the 2022 World Cup with a 1-0 loss to Morocco in the quarterfinals.

The 37-year-old came off the bench in the 51st minute of the game to replace Ruben Neves with Portugal trailing 1-0 after a first-half goal from Youssef En-Nesyri.

The former Manchester United star failed to inspire his country again in the contest, despite Portugal doing their best to find an equalizer.

The 37-year-old was left heartbroken after suffering a shock 1-0 quarter-final loss to Morocco.

Ronaldo squandered a chance late on when his right-footed shot was punched low into the hands of goalkeeper Yassine Bounou between a series of late chances from his teammates, including a header from Pepe.

The final whistle left the forward heartbroken after failing to keep alive his dream of a last chance at football’s top international award.

He’ll be 41 when the next World Cup rolls around in the summer of 2026, which means it’s probably his last chance to win the big tournament.

ITV pundit Ally McCoist said: “Yes, Ronaldo is upset, but it’s not about [Ronaldo] him tonight. His time has been.

‘It’s all about Morocco tonight. What an example they have shown with that organization, the style, the ability to work for each other.

“If we’re brutally honest, Pepe had a chance at the end, but I don’t remember anything else.”

Morocco made history by becoming the first African team to reach a World Cup semi-final with their shock victory.

They will now face the winner of France or England in the final four of the tournament in Qatar.
