Cristiano Ronaldo ‘could reunite’ with his ex-Juventus team-mate Juan Cuadrado at Al Nassr

Cristiano Ronaldo’s new club, Al Nassr, is targeting the Portuguese icon’s former Juventus teammate Juan Cuadrado, according to reports.

Having significantly raised the club’s global profile with the capture of the 37-year-old superstar for £175m a year, Al Nassr is keen to capitalize on the buzz by recruiting more high-profile players from Europe’s top leagues in January.

Juventus full-back Cuadrado, who played alongside Ronaldo in Turin between 2018 and 2021, is believed to be high on the Saudi giants’ wish list as his contract is due to expire at the end of the season.

With no more than six months remaining on his contract, the Colombia international can hold talks with clubs before becoming a free agent in the summer.

According to WHATAl Nassr are preparing to offer a lucrative deal in a bid to lure the 34-year-old into the Saudi Pro League and thus avoid interest from Serie A giants Inter Milan.

Cuadrado has played 20 games in all competitions for Juventus so far this season, adding four assists from defense.

The attacking full-back has won five Serie A titles during his time in Italy, as well as four Coppa Italia trophies.

Cuadrado, defending his colleagues, told Ronaldo in response: “Don’t worry, you also have to set an example for everyone.”

The altercation in the dressing room is likely to be water under the bridge if the Colombian joins the Portuguese hitman in Saudi Arabia.
