Al-Nassr is reportedly negotiating a deal to bring Keylor Navas from PSG to the club to team up with his former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo.

Regular goalkeeper David Ospina has suffered an elbow injury, and with the Colombian set for a sideline spell, manager Rudi Garcia is believed to have requested a replacement, with Navas the preferred target of the Al-Nassr boss.

Ronaldo has been busy preparing for his first outing for the Saudi Pro-League leaders, and his debut could come against old foe Lionel Messi in a friendly that the businessman has already offered £2.2m to watch.

Eden Hazard was rumored to be close to a move to the Saudi Pro-League, but the newest face at Al-Nassr could be Costa Rican international Navas, according to brand.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Navas spent four seasons at Real Madrid and won three Champions together

Former Arsenal and Napoli goalkeeper David Ospina is believed to have suffered a fractured elbow in the club’s last outing, a 0-0 draw with Al-Shaddab on Saturday, and is expected to be out for at least six weeks.

The former Real Madrid goalkeeper will be in Saudi Arabia this week for PSG’s clash with a Saudi All-Stars team that will include the Portuguese icon.

Navas has fallen down the pecking order at PSG since the arrival of Gianluigi Donnarumma in 2021, and has now been relegated to the role of cup goalkeeper.

The three-time Champions League winner is under contract with the French titans until June 2023, and while it’s unlikely he’ll want to forego any potential salary in the next six months, an approach from Al-Nassr is likely to be equally lucrative.

However, it is believed that PSG sporting director Luis Campos wants to receive a fee in exchange for allowing his substitute goalkeeper to leave before the end of his contract, which is believed to be a problem for the Pro team. -Saudi League.

The pair played 125 games together for Los Blancos during a highly successful period for the club.

The 36-year-old is not the only option Garcia’s team is considering, however, as the search for a new man between the sticks intensifies.

Al-Wheda’s stopper, Munir, is also under consideration, though he is believed to be of secondary importance to the pursuit of Navas.

Munir has also gone through LaLiga, although with far fewer trophies to prove, having been in the books at Numancia and Málaga.

Al-Nassr have been flying at the top of the league, scoring more goals than any other team (27), and leading the list for fewest goals conceded (6) with Ospina proving to be a good option in goal for the club.
