FOX Sports has reportedly acquired the rights to show the Saudi Pro League in the United States.

The Saudi season kicks off on Friday, August 11, following an incredible summer that saw some of the biggest names in world football head to the Middle East.

Karim Benzema, N’Golo Kante, Sadio Mane and Jordan Henderson are among the big names leaving Europe to join Cristiano Ronaldo in Saudi Arabia.

According to World SoccerTalkFox Sports has secured the rights to show the 18-team league.

It comes after the Kingdom struck deals with other major broadcasters ahead of the new season.

British supporters can watch every match of Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr side

As revealed by Mail Sport, DAZN sobtained exclusive live rights to show Saudi Pro League matches in the United Kingdom, while Canal + will broadcast the action in France and Africa.

Mail Sport has learned that three matches a week, including any match involving Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr, will be available to watch live on DAZN, starting with Friday’s match between Al-Ahli Saudi and Al-Hazm.

Steven Gerrard’s first game as Al-Ettifaq manager against Ronaldo’s Al Nassr is the highlight of Monday’s first round.

It’s a clash that illustrates the growing interest in what has been the most talked about competition in the world this summer.

Saudi Pro League clubs have become a real threat to Europe’s top sides in the transfer market, spending more than £350 million on new players, including Henderson, Firmino, Benzema and Ruben Neves.

In the UK, Sky Sports took over the digital rights to broadcast Saudi Pro League matches midway through last season, after Ronaldo signed for Al Nassr.

But the DAZN deal is the first to commit to broadcasting the league for an entire season.
