Cristiano Ronaldo indulged in a padel session during a post-season trip to Singapore.

The footballing superstar ended the 2022/23 season with Saudi Arabia’s Al-Nassr on Wednesday with a 3-0 win against Al Fateh, for which he was rested.

Dinko Jelicic’s team was unable to take the Saudi Pro League title and finished five points behind winner Al-Ittihad.

But Portuguese striker Ronaldo bounced back from that disappointment with a trip to the Southeast Asian nation of Singapore.

There he promotes charitable initiatives led by his friend Peter Lim, the billionaire magnate who owns Valencia, Spain.

After talking to children in the countryside, he joined in a light-hearted game of Padel, the racquet sport similar to squash and tennis.

He posted on Instagram to his 588 million followers on Sunday saying, ‘Coming soon to Asia @primepadelsport – thanks for the rally!’, with the post already drawing nearly 3.5 million likes.

The footage shows veteran Ronaldo, 38, looking comfortable and relaxed with a racket in hand, as local kids loudly applaud his every shot.

He has insisted he will stay in Saudi Arabia despite speculation linking him to a shock return to former club Real Madrid and a move to German giants Bayern Munich.

Ronaldo said: ‘I am happy here, I want to continue here, I will continue here.

And if they keep doing the job they want to do here, I think the Saudi league can become a top five league in the world in the next five years.

“I will be part of your world, your culture, I will be here. I hope I can make people enjoy my games, my performance and winning things, but again, thank you for welcoming me, and I will try to do my best during the time I will be here.”

For one week in July, Al-Nassr will play Al-Shabab in the Arab Club Champions Cup before taking on Paris Saint-Germain and Inter Milan in pre-season friendly matches.
