Crips member and rapper Bricc Baby tells NBA star Ja Morant to stop waving pistols on social media

Rapper Bricc Baby has begged Ja Morant to put away the firearms after he was seen again with what appeared to be a hand gun on an Instagram Live stream.

Video emerged Sunday morning of the Memphis Grizzlies superstar purportedly holding a gun while in the car with a friend who was filming the pair.

The LA rapper was one of many to criticize Morant — two months after a similar moment at a Denver strip club.

As a result, the Grizzlies suspended star Ja Morant indefinitely “from all team activities.” Morant was seen on Instagram Live in the driver’s seat of a car with a gun as he sang along to rapper YoungBoy NBA’s song “1.5.”

The 23-year-old has been accused of throwing up Crip boards during NBA games. Bricc Baby discussed the matter in a video posted on Twitter Sunday afternoon.

‘N*** you’re not even coming out of this s***. You’re not even getting out of this motherfucker in any way, shape or form,” Baby said.

“Come on, let’s be real, hey. Start being real with yourself. You are a basketball player. If you want to step into this field, we can show you a lot about this s***.

“Sure, arrange a meeting for me and Ja Morant, since he wants to be a Crip. I bet he never shows up.

You claim to be a part of “the culture” man, be the positive side of “the culture” as you were. You got no crimes, you didn’t fucking grow up.

“Our ordinary, everyday life, which you’ll be afraid of… you don’t want to be a part of. So stop acting like you want to be a part of that.

In March, Morant appeared to be holding up a gun in an Instagram Live video at a Denver club

“I was just begging you to quit gangs, eh. You are one in a million. You made it even though you’re from nowhere, you made it against all the assholes against black people.

‘Another gun? Not another gun, eh. Come to LA and come to me. No beefin’, nothing. I’d like to confer with Ja Morant. I want Ja Morant to join us for a week.

Those guns aren’t that important, um…you can’t get geeked out of music like that.’

NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski reports this on Monday morning ESPN that Morant is likely to receive a “long, substantial suspension” after footage of the incident surfaced.

In March, Morant was seen at a strip club in Denver with a gun in an Instagram video that led to a police and league investigation. Ultimately, he was suspended by the NBA for eight games.

It’s unclear if this incident will lead to criminal charges or an investigation into Morant’s conduct — or if the NBA will choose to take further action.

In a statement to DailyMail.com, the NBA said, “We are aware of the social media post involving Ja Morant and are in the process of gathering more information.”

Morant’s incident in March showed him dancing topless at a strip club before holding a gun to the side of his head. Hours after the post, it was revealed that the incident was under investigation by the NBA, with The Athletic’s Shams Charania subsequently reporting that Morant had been suspended by the Grizzlies for “at least two games” while the investigation into the incident continues.

Morant then issued a statement taking responsibility for his actions and explaining that he would be taking time off from the game to work on his well-being.

“I take full responsibility for my actions last night,” he said. “I am sorry to my family, teammates, coaches, fans, partners, the city of Memphis and the entire Grizzlies organization for letting you down.

“I’m going to set aside some time to get help and work on learning better methods of coping with stress and my overall well-being.”

An investigation by the Glendale, Colorado Police Department resulted in no criminal charges and found no wrongdoing.

After Morant took that time away — including a brief stay at a Florida treatment center — he met NBA Commissioner Adam Silver in New York. There he was told that – including time served – he would be suspended for eight games.

After the Grizzlies’ elimination in the playoffs, Morant told reporters, “I just need to get better at my decision making. That’s it, actually. Issues out of court had a great impact on us as an organization. Just now [need] more discipline.’
