Pub owners and patrons fuming after trio of thieves were caught stealing bunny-shaped lamp from Cricketers Arms Hotel in Surry Hills

Three thieves have been caught on camera stealing a rabbit-shaped lamp from a popular pub.

Two women and a man were leaving the Cricketers Arms Hotel in Surry Hills, inner-city Sydney, on Wednesday evening when the lamp suddenly caught their attention.

CCTV captured the entire incident, which has left the pub’s management and their loyal customers furious.

The footage showed one of the women walking towards the lamp before pointing it out to her friends.

The man then turned off the lamp before the same woman unhooked it and tucked it under her shirt as her other friend looked around.

The man looked at the security camera several times and laughed as he saw his buddy hiding the bunny in her clothes.

Staff members came and went through the room where the three were, but the main perpetrator managed to put the lamp away without raising suspicion.

The cafe shared the CCTV footage of the incident on its Instagram page.

“Who stole our rabbit-shaped lamp?” they captioned the video.

“Bring it back you little bastards!!! Dog action!!’

Many café visitors condemned the trio and called the theft ’embarrassing’.

“What’s wrong with people?” one commented.

“Unbelievable,” said another.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted the pub for comment.
