Cricket WAG Erin Holland reveals how her experience with IVF has taken a toll on her ‘physically and mentally’ as she admits some days are a ‘struggle’

Australian model Erin Holland has opened up about her IVF journey.

The 34-year-old, who is married to Ben Cutting, said that this week Sunday Telegraphthe process has taken its toll on her body both ‘physically and mentally’.

“I really felt a sense of loss and inadequacy just in my physical self and I think my confidence is something that has been swinging up and down my whole life,” she said.

“I’m so confident on some days and not so much on others, and for the first time I think I’ve felt what it’s like to have days that are really a struggle.”

Erin also revealed how she has suffered from adult acne due to hormones in her body after being diagnosed with polycystic ovaries.

“Some days it’s not me, it’s just the hormones you’re putting in your body and the stress you’re feeling.” It’s a lot to process.’

Erin also spoke about her IVF journey last July.

In a candid Instagram post, the model shared a photo of her makeup-free face and wrote a heartfelt caption explaining her situation.

HORMONES SUCK. Especially this IVF-induced one,” she told her fans.

“Between the twice-daily injections, the fertility supplements, DHEA (who knew women needed a little testosterone and I barely?!)”

“The mood swings, the pimples, the forgetful brain, the joys.”

She concluded, “As I embark on a third round of egg collection in the next few days, I just wanted to give a shout out to the underground army going through the same thing. Be kind to yourself’.

The TV presenter further revealed that she has been mourning her failed attempts to conceive so far.

“For someone who was never really very motherly, I was shocked at how much it affected me and I felt a real sense of loss because it’s a natural process,” she said.

“When someone looks me in the eye and asks how I’m doing, I can find it really hard to say I’m fine when I’m not.”
