Creed III Super Bowl Trailer Shows Off Epic Boxing Battle Between Actor-Director Michael B. Jordan And Jonathan Majors
MGM shelled out a lot of money (reportedly between $6 million and $7 million) to air a new trailer for Creed III during Super Bowl Sunday.
The trailer shows the epic battle in and out of the ring between Adonis Creed (Michael B. Jordain) and his former childhood friend, Damian Anderson (Jonathan Majors).
The film also marks the directorial debut of Jordan, who hit the red carpet at the Mexico City premiere on Friday.
The new trailer, set in Fugees’ Ready or Not, shows footage of Adonis in the ring and Damian preparing to go to war in the ring with his old friend.
We also see footage of Damian destroying opponents in the ring and flashbacks of the friends together.

Adonis’s mother, Mary Anne (Phylicia Rashad), is heard saying, “There may have been a time when Damian had your back.”
“But it doesn’t anymore,” he continues as we watch Damian with his hands bandaged and training.
Both Adonis and Damian are seen outside as Damian boasts, “Hey, I’m just getting started, little brother,” which angers Adonis.
We see more footage of Damien’s training torn as he adds, “I’m going for everything,” while Adonis is seen with Bianca (Tessa Thompson).
There’s more footage of the two fighters training before we see an aerial shot of Dodger Stadium, apparently where their epic battle will take place.

Bianca is seen with Adonis, telling him, “Don’t let him destroy everything you’ve built.”
The final shots of the trailer show Adonis and Damian exchanging epic blows in the middle of the ring.

Creed III also stars Florian Munteanu (Viktor Drago), Wood Harris (Tony ‘Little Duke’ Burton), Tony Bellew (‘Pretty’ Ricky Conlan) and royal boxer Canelo Alvarez.
Michael B. Jordan directs from a script by Keenan Coogler and Zack Baylin and a story by Creed director Ryan Coogler.
MGM will release Creed III on March 3, taking on Hunt Her, Kill Her in theaters nationwide.
