Creative’s new noise-canceling earbuds give you a reason to never take them off

>

Typical wireless noise canceling earbuds want to separate you from the outside world and immerse you in a vibrant soundstage that brings audio to life; that’s not quite the case for Creative’s latest pair of buttons.

The aptly named Sensemore Air true wireless earbuds still have active noise canceling (ANC) that works exactly like the technology in the best noise canceling earbuds out there to block out outside distractions. But if you need better situational awareness, or want to have a conversation without having to take the earbuds out, you can use Sensemore mode.

Sensemore mode is similar to Ambient mode that many noise canceling headphones and earbuds have come to use. Rather than just turning off ANC and turning your music down, Sensemore Mode amplifies external audio so users can pick up quieter sounds they may have missed with normal Ambient Mode.

If you’re looking for a pair of earplugs for your commute, these may be just what you need, as they let you relax with your favorite tracks, but also allow you to stay aware of your surroundings as you take the train, a bus or walk home.

Other than this handy-looking feature, the Sensmore Air buds look like a pretty typical pair of wireless earbuds. They come with a charging case that can recharge the earbuds in 10 minutes to two hours, helping to extend battery life from about 10 hours to a maximum of about 35 hours (although use of features like Sensmore mode and ANC will likely shorten). these times).

They are IPX5 certified, which means they are sweat resistant – making them a handy partner for your next workout and possibly even one of the best training headphones. However, if your fitness regimen includes a dip in the pool, you’ll want to get the Sensemorer Air buds out first.

They also feature touch controls that you can customize in the Creative app, where you can also make adjustments to the equalizer to create a soundstage that suits your taste. That said, as with even the best wireless earbuds, we expect the bass performance to be a bit lacking no matter how much you tweak it – the smaller speakers in earbuds often can’t provide the oomph needed for truly chest-pounding audio.

The Sensemore Air buds are fairly budget-friendly, coming in at $79.99 / £64.99 (around AU$130) – so even without one of the upcoming Black Friday deals, this could be an affordable but reliable pair to pick up on to get.

We haven’t had a chance to try the Sensemore Air true wireless earbuds ourselves, so we recommend doing some extra research before buying a pair of these. Creative’s online store (opens in new tab). But if you want a solid pair of buds that allow you to keep a good idea of what’s going on around you when you need to, these can be a good choice.
