Cranbourne East: Man is found dead face-down in a swamp in Melbourne
The body of a man lies in a swamp near a park in a residential area in Melbourne.
The gruesome discovery was made at Solar Close in Cranbourne East in the city’s south-east just before 2pm on Thursday.
The area of the park has been cordoned off and police have established a crime scene.
Detectives and forensic investigators remained on site on Thursday evening.
SES teams have also been deployed to assist with the investigation.
The man has not yet been officially identified.

“The circumstances surrounding his death are yet to be determined. More information will be provided as the case develops,” a police statement said.
Police were reportedly alerted to a missing person earlier in the day, Nine News reported.
