Craig Moore looks like a typical Australian guy running for election to the Queensland state parliament. Now he is forced to reveal his dirty secret
EXCLUSIVE
A former porn star who worked in Los Angeles and made adult films under the name ‘Crocodile Man’ is running for election in Queensland.
Craig Moore, 57, is putting himself forward in the Labor-held Brisbane seat of Lytton at the upcoming state election as a tough-on-crime independent candidate.
He has chosen to confront the rumors circulating about him. “It’s best to get started on it straight away,” he told Daily Mail Australia.
Which is to say, yes, he was a porn star. In the 2000s, he appeared in 97 adult films under the stage names Aussie Craig, Aussie Thunder and Crocodile Man.

“At the age of 35, Craig began his career as a porn star and slowly made a name for himself,” says a porn encyclopedia website.
“He has appeared in 97 adult films during his active years in the industry.”
Mr Moore’s ex-wife, Jody Moore, was also an adult entertainment star based in Los Angeles, and like him she previously stood as a candidate in the Queensland election.
The father of two, who is now a palliative care nurse and practicing Buddhist, joked that he quit before he got to 100 films and worked in the San Fernando area of LA, California.
“I didn’t do the 100 because I didn’t want to be called ***,” he told Daily Mail Australia.
Mr Moore said that as a former porn star he understood the pain of those who were struggling.
“I’ve run charities, I’ve done nursing, I think when you’re with the people you understand the pain,” he said.
‘When you work in these sectors, you often encounter people in all kinds of situations.’

Mr Moore’s ex-wife, Jody Moore, was also an adult entertainment star based in Los Angeles, and like him she previously stood as a candidate in the Queensland election.
He also revealed that he and his ex-wife, who have both since remarried, were open about their unconventional careers in heterosexual porn in the United States.
“She was an adult film star: you have to be very open,” he said. “You’re both in the industry, you’re working and making a lot of money.”
Mr. Moore admitted that he had to take Viagra to perform on camera.
“You did that every now and then, because when you made a feature film, it was man, OK, let’s go,” he said.
‘Sometimes you’re outside, sometimes you’re in the cold, all artists have that.’
He also revealed that he wasn’t attracted to all the women he worked with, even if they were good looking.
“I’m not really saying it was their looks because I was very blessed: all beautiful women,” he said.
‘Sometimes just an attitude.’
His resume in the adult industry included titles like Barely legal and busty beauties.
The other titles referencing group sex are a bit too explicit for Daily Mail Australia to mention.
Mr. Moore has written off getting the votes of religious people. ‘Do I still get their vote?’ he scoffed.
Very few porn stars in the world have been elected to parliament. Cicciolina, officially known as Ilona Staller, had a political career from 1987 to 1991.
On his Facebook page, Moore stated that his top priority would be fighting crime.
‘Tough on crime. Trade internships for prisoners in remote areas and build cities for the poor. Training camps for unemployed youth to combat natural disasters and learn work skills. I see that the poor and needy are not coloring,” he said.

Craig Moore won 12.3 percent of the vote as an independent candidate in last month’s Brisbane City Council election in the Wynnum Manly ward, which Labor lost to the Liberal National Party.
He said many of his 3,234 voters had previously voted Labour.
“I’m receiving hate mail now,” he said.
Craig Moore recently won 12.3 percent of the vote as an independent candidate in the Brisbane City Council election in the Manly Wynnum ward, which Labor lost to the LNP.
During the campaign, he published a Facebook post to address rumors about his past as an adult entertainment actor.
“People want to throw mud at me about my last 20 years,” he said.
“So what message are we sending to anyone who wants to better themselves? Male revue, traveled the world. 80 adult films, three reality shows. 14 magazines.’
Every now and then a voter had disapproved.
“An older lady walked past me and said, ‘Oh no, I know what your past is about’ and she got a little funny, but I’m like a man’s dream job,” he said.
Elections will be held in Queensland on October 26. Opinion polls show Labor Prime Minister Steven Miles heading for defeat.
Mr. Moore’s preferences could decide a close race.
