Craig McLachlan sheds tears in a new trailer for the upcoming season of Channel Seven’s SAS Australia: Buried Alive.
The actor, 58, is interrogated by host Ant Middleton, 42, in a desert camp in the Middle East, and tries in vain to plead with him.
“I was found not guilty,” a distraught McLachlan tells him.
McLachlan was acquitted of assault after being charged with assault and indecent assault following complaints from female co-stars in a stage production of the Rocky Horror Picture Show in Melbourne in 2014, in which he played the role of Frank-N-Furter.
He strongly denied the allegations against him.

Magistrate Belinda Wallington found him not guilty of thirteen charges after a four-week hearing in the Victorian Melbourne Magistrates Court in December 2020.
This is just one scene in a newly released trailer for SAS Australia: Buried Alive, which is shaping up to be the reality show’s most exciting season yet.
The trailer begins by dropping the celebrity contestants into a sandy desert, which according to the subtitles is in a “secret location in the Middle East.”
We then see the participants undergo a series of grueling physical challenges, including running across the roof of a moving train and dodging grenades.
They are also buried alive in coffins built into the sand.
‘The selection process is brutal. This is the most difficult military course in the world. “If you are weak, easily offended, or physically unfit, leave now,” Middleton tells the participants.

The cast of SAS Australia was announced earlier this year
Anthony Mundine, former Roosters captain Boyd Cordner and Olympic swimmer Stephanie Rice will also star in the new series.
Convicted drug smuggler Cassie Sainsbury, aka Cocaine Cassie, will also appear.
Meanwhile, middle-distance runner Peter Bol, who finished fourth in the 800 meters at the last Olympics, was recently embroiled in a banned substance scandal with Athletics Australia – he was later cleared of using banned substances in his B sample.
