Craig Conover reveals he froze his sperm months before Paige DeSorbo split as she called it the ‘craziest thing’
Craig Conover had his sperm frozen months before his divorce from Paige DeSorbo – which she called the “craziest thing in the world” at the time.
The TV personality, 35, opened up about the topic of wanting to start a family in the future with his now ex, 32, during the latest episode of Bravo’s Southern Charm on Thursday.
Earlier this week on Monday, DeSorbo confirmed that both she and Conover had split after three years of dating, but did not reveal the reason behind the shock split.
While speaking to his friends Austen Kroll and Shep Rose, Craig said, “I would be remiss if I didn’t say that becoming a father is like, probably like, whatever it’s called if it has to happen in my future,” Craig said . People.
The episode then transitioned into a flashback as he shared his plans to freeze his sperm with Paige, who responded, “What the f**k? That’s the craziest thing in the world.’
Conover then explained in a confessional, “The version of life that I saw myself living is not what I’m living, and that’s like this stable home that I grew up in.”

‘Every night at dinner my father and mother were there, together with my brother. And I just loved that.”
He continued, “But I think if you find the right person and it turns out to be a feisty Italian from New York, things won’t always go the way you plan.”
Both he and DeSorbo had wanted to wait about three to four years before potentially starting a family – and Austen questioned Craig who came up with the specific timeline.
“She did, and then it made sense to me. Without any influence from Paige, I would say, OK, you date for a while, then you get married, then you have kids.”
The TV personality added: “We’ll do that one day, but why don’t we just try to make as much money as we can for now?”
Conover then emphasized that he wanted to start a family in the future, but Austen later told the cameras, “I’m not entirely sold on Craig wanting exactly what Paige wants.”
The revelation in the new episode comes not long after Paige announced that both she and Craig broke up during her Giggly Squad podcast on Monday.
“Craig and I have decided to no longer be together,” the Summer House star said, adding emotionally that it was “weird” to discuss the breakup publicly.

However, the reality star said: ‘I love him. I think he loves me. I think we’ll remain friends. Nobody did anything. It wasn’t a bad thing.’
DeSorbo said of the divorce: “I think we were both just very mature and said what we wanted and what we didn’t want. And I think being able to express in real time how you feel and what you want for your future is extremely powerful.”
Paige chose not to explain why the couple had gone their separate ways, but shared positive words about her ex.
‘He’s absolutely the best boyfriend I’ve ever had. I can really say that. He was a great boyfriend.”
“And he did everything correctly, and he never made me feel insecure or anything like that, so it’s almost harder when no one has done anything to be upset about, and that’s hard.”
Late last December – weeks before Paige confirmed their split – Craig had revealed that both he and DeSorbo were planning to tie the knot.
During an interview with People, he stated that he had stopped drinking to “become more of a husband and father material.”
‘We are playing the long game. It would be easy to go for instant gratification, but the foundation we lay is that one day we will die together, and we won’t just make it fun.”
