Cozycore MMO Palia enters beta in August with new content roadmap

Palia is an upcoming MMO that leaves behind the usual pillars of swords or sorcery and pursues a much simpler goal: to create a big, cozy world perfect for building houses with your friends, leisurely fishing or cooking a delicious feast. The game was first announced in July 2021 and now players can test it for themselves Palia goes into beta in August.

This beta is available on PC and players can too create an account on the official Palia place Participate. A closed beta will begin on August 2, but if you can’t join that round, an open beta will begin shortly afterward on August 10. There are no wipes between the beta and Palia‘s live launch, meaning all your progress won’t be lost. Developer Singularity 6 is currently stress testing the game to ensure their servers are ready for the beta.

Palia is a game very similar to an Animal Crossing or Stardew Valley, except larger in scale and scope. Instead of starting out in a rinky-dink tent, indebted to a raccoon, players can immediately access a large tract of land and begin chopping wood, mining rocks, and clearing debris. The game is made to be enjoyed both solo and co-op. Even tasks like cooking can be a fun challenge to share with friends, as everyone gathers dough, prepares veggies, or helps stir up a delicious stew.

The new trailer for the game shows you how to hunt, fish, climb, paraglide, dress up dolls and hang out with villagers. In this world, humans were extinct, but they are now reappearing in large numbers. Luckily, the locals are happy to see people come back, and they’ll help you settle in.
