A Massachusetts mother was injured when a coyote attacked her two-year-old son while they were outside their home.
Weymouth resident Georgianna Orseno was playing with her two-year-old son in the middle of the day when she was bitten on the leg by the predator earlier this week.
The 29-year-old managed to push the predator off her and escape by kicking it into a tree.
However, the attack left the young mother with bites and scratches on both her legs.
‘This is the worst bite, on my ankle here. It bleeds through. My pants are all torn from the other bite,” she said WCBV.
A camera across the street showed Orseno playing with her son just before the coyote pounced on her.
‘I think it went for him and luckily I was in the middle. I think it got mad because I shook it off and then it got stuck really deep and I had to keep kicking the tree to get it loose,” she further told the outlet.
Orseno is now taking antibiotics and starting a series of rabies injections as treatment.

Orseno also said she was “just grateful” that it was her who was bitten and not her child.
‘It could have been a lot worse. I mean, because he was so small and how attached he was to my leg, I know he could have just latched onto my son and just dragged him wherever he wanted to go. “I’m just glad I was included,” she said gratefully.
Shortly afterwards, neighbors said the attack was “strange” and “a bit strange.”
Cynthia Karam, a local resident, explained, “He was weird. I’ve seen other coyotes crossing the street, [but] this one was a bit off.
‘It’s so scary. We have a dog and three children who are always outside when the weather is nice.’
Minutes after the vicious attack, a neighbor also spotted a coyote coming out of Orseno’s yard, which moved slowly and was not easily deterred.
It remains unclear where the coyote came from or whether it was caught.
According to WCBVOn December 18, Animal Control officers were near Orseno’s property to find the predator.

Timothy Snipe, dressed in a bright red dressing gown and slippers, was taking his little pet Roxie for a morning walk in the Mount Pleasant garden on January 12 when disaster struck.
An aggressive coyote approached Snipe’s yard from a wooded area behind the house and wanted to terrorize little Roxie. INSIDE revealed.
“She started looking that way, and I still couldn’t see anything, and then a coyote jumped out of that bush over there, and she took off,” Snipe said.
A very daring and seemingly fearless Roxie did not flee, but instead darted around the wolf-like beast as Snipe frantically tried to intervene in the attack.
Snipe heroically managed to grab the coyote by the neck and then grab it by the tail as he marched toward a dumpster, with Roxie following closely behind.
Snipe revealed that the rabid animal bit his leg during the chaos.
After the incredible rescue, Snipe dropped the animal into a bright blue dumpster in the yard.
The coyote didn’t give up and tried to force the lid of the garbage can open as Snipe carried out his efforts.
Snipe shot the coyote and then took it to the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control.
