Manchester City star striker Erling Haaland has revealed his bizarre heart and liver diet that has helped him take the game by storm.

Haaland has had a remarkable start to his career at the Etihad, scoring 20 goals in just 12 games.

He has 15 in nine Premier League games and five in three Champions League games since joining City from Borussia Dortmund this summer for £51 million.

His start at City was hugely impressive and the Norwegian has lifted the lid on his Hannibal Lecter-style diet in a documentary called Haaland The Big Decision.

Showing off huge chunks of his butcher’s heart and liver, he said, ‘You (other people) don’t eat this, but I think it’s important to take care of my body.

‘I think eating quality food that is as local as possible is the most important.

‘Or the local cow that eats grass there? I eat the heart and the liver.’

The 22-year-old also reveals that he only drinks water through a complicated filtration system.

“The first thing I do in the morning is get some sunlight in my eyes — it’s good for the circadian rhythm.

‘I also started filtering my water a bit. I think it could have great benefits for my body.’

The six-foot striker is also a fan of ice baths and glasses that filter blue light to improve his sleep in addition to his 6,000-calorie-a-day diet.

During a tour of City’s training ground, Haaland tells chefs, “You guys should be my favorite people,” as he asks for an omelet with cheese and ham.
