A two-year-old boy has died after being attacked by two dogs, believed to be Rottweilers, at a roadside motel.
The toddler was attacked just after 10 a.m. Tuesday morning at the Country Gardens Motor Inn in Cowra, northwest NSW.
He suffered serious neck and face injuries and was rushed by a witness to Cowra Hospital and then airlifted to Westmead Hospital in Sydney, where he died on Tuesday afternoon.
Police confirmed that two dogs were involved in the attack and have been seized by the municipality.

The investigation is ongoing, but the motel where the attack took place is not pet-friendly
A spokesman for the NSW Police Department said the dogs have been removed from the scene while officers investigate.
The Country Gardens Motor Inn is not pet friendly and describes itself as a ‘clean, peaceful motel on the edge of town in the quietest, most peaceful part of Cowra’.
The spokesman said emergency services were called to the Grenfell Road Hotel in Cowra at about 10:20 a.m. after reports the child had been bitten by two dogs.
Chifley precinct officers and paramedics arrived on the scene to find a two-year-old boy with serious injuries to his face and neck.
“He was taken to Cowra Hospital in critical condition.
“Both dogs are secured and a crime scene has been established.”
The investigation into the incident continues and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
