Trevon Diggs tore his ACL during practice on Thursday, according to reports from ESPN and NFL Network.
Diggs, who was named a Pro Bowler the past two seasons, was reportedly seen on crutches after practice before an MRI confirmed the severity of his injury.
This is reported by NFL Network Ian RapoportDiggs suffered the injury during a non-contact one-on-one drill on Thursday.
The Cowboys said in a statement: “No timetable has been set for Diggs’ return, but he is currently expected to miss the remainder of the current season.”
The Cowboys will now be without their star cornerback Trevon Diggs for the rest of the season
Diggs led the league with 11 interceptions in 2021 and was named first-team All-Pro.
His injury marks the latest season-ending injury to a star player after Aaron Rodgers and Nick Chubb previously suffered serious injuries.
JK Dobbins and Shaq Thompson will also miss the rest of the season.
Dallas’ first test without Diggs is Sunday against the Cardinals.
