Cowboys-Eagles descends into chaos with three players ejected after wild sideline brawl

Three players were ejected in the final seconds of the Philadelphia Eagles’ victory over the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday after a wild brawl broke out on the sideline.

With just over two minutes to play in Philly, Eagles safety Sydney Brown became involved in a scuffle with Cowboys cornerback Troy Pride, with the former dragging him off the field and into the tunnel.

Brown then appeared to violently slam Pride to the ground as other players quickly intervened in chaotic scenes at Lincoln Financial Field.

Prior to their first scuffle, Cowboys wide receiver Jalen Brooks had pulled Brown to the ground from behind at the end of a play.

The Philadelphia star immediately jumped to his feet and furiously walked towards Brooks, but Pride pushed him away first, sparking an astonishing fight near the tunnel.

Despite several teammates eventually joining the chaos, Brown, Pride and Brooks were all ejected from the game in the final two minutes.

After the madness subsided and play resumed, the Eagles pulled off a resounding 41-7 victory that gave them the NFC East title.

Saquon Barkley rushed for a season-high 167 yards, while backup quarterback Kenny Pickett ran and threw for scores before leaving with injured ribs in the dominant win.

Barkley has 2,005 yards and needs 101 in next week’s largely meaningless regular-season finale to beat Eric Dickerson and his 2,105 yards for the Los Angeles Rams in 1984.

The Eagles (13-3) led 24-7 in the third quarter when Pickett was drilled by defenseman Micah Parsons, ending his first start in place of concussed Jalen Hurts.

Tanner McKee, a career third stringer, entered the game and the Eagles capped the drive with a field goal.

McKee later threw two touchdown passes, a 20-yarder to AJ Brown and a 25-yarder to DeVonta Smith, before a cheering crowd thrilled to see the Eagles dominate their fiercest rival for the division title and at least the No. 2 seed seed in the NFC.

Hurts was injured in last week’s loss at Washington and remains in the NFL’s concussion protocol (he didn’t practice all week), which opened the door for Pickett to start.

Pickett, acquired from Pittsburgh in the offseason, played with extra protection under his jersey after suffering a rib injury while pressed into service against the Commanders.
