Cousins Savannah Phillips, 12, and Mia Tindall, nine, enjoy a fun day at Festival of British Eventing in Gatcombe Park

Mia Tindall and Savannah Phillips enjoyed a fun day at the Festival of British Eventing in Gatcombe Park today.

The royal cousins, aged nine and twelve respectively, were pictured laughing with each other and participating in the activities on offer, including trampolining.

Dressed in what appeared to be official navy T-shirts for the annual event, the pair prepared for the muddy conditions by donning green rubber boots.

They were joined at the prestigious occasion, held at the Princess Royal’s estate, by their grandmother Princess Anne, 72, and Mia’s mother Zara Tindall, 42, and her sister Lena, five, as well as Savannah’s sibling Isla, 11.

Mia’s brother, Lucas, two, and her father Mike Tindall, 44, did not appear to be at the outing. Savannah’s father Peter Phillips was also not in the picture.

For the 28th time, the event will take place on a course designed by Princess Anne herself. The two-day event includes dressage, show jumping and several cross-country stages.

Mia is the eldest of the children of Zara and former rugby star Mike Tindall and is now 22nd in line of succession.

Like her cousin Savannah, Mia is known for her mischievous streak and can also be found running around with her father and cousins at various horse competitions.

Savannah and Mia, the great-granddaughters of Queen Elizabeth II, once again showed their close bond when they enthusiastically danced with Abba at the Platinum Jubilee Pageant at Buckingham Palace in June 2022.

Mia got into the festivities as she bowed to Abba as she belted out the words of their hit Dancing Queen from the royal bleachers.

Savannah and Mia sat in front of London mayor Sadiq Khan, but were not deterred by distractions during the concert.

Meanwhile, Mia’s younger sister Lena seemed a little unimpressed with the dancing duo, crossing her arms and frowning at the stage.

The cousins were also dressed in matching outfits, with Mia opting for a blue shirt dress with a playful palm tree print. She brushed her hair out of her face with a navy blue headband.

Meanwhile, Savannah was dressed in a bright blue dress with a white cardigan, while her sister Isla wore a matching white headband and white jacket for the occasion.
