Courtney Stodden marries again 13 years after ‘child bride’ wedding to Green Mile actor Doug Hutchison
Courtney Stodden is a married woman again – 13 years after her ‘child bride’ marriage to Green Mile actor Doug Hutchison.
The model, 30, married fiancé Jared Safier, 41, on Tuesday in a “last-minute” ceremony at Casa de Monte Vista in Palm Springs, according to We weekly.
With only twenty guests it was an intimate affair.
Courtney walked down the aisle in a vintage wedding dress with a plunging neckline and a modest train that cost $60,000. She wore a long tulle veil with an elegant lace edge.
For a sentimental touch, her father Alex Stodden gave her the wedding ring he gave her mother Krista Keller when they got married. Alex and Krista are no longer together.
Courtney started dating the Emmy-winning TV producer in the summer of 2023 after meeting on the set of a film project, and they were engaged by June 2024.

She told the outlet that she and Jared felt this was the “perfect time” to get married since both of their families were in Los Angeles for the Thanksgiving holiday.
‘We planned to get married, but we didn’t have a date. We just looked at each other, and we’re just as crazy. We just looked at each other and said, ‘This is the perfect time to do it,'” she explained.
They started planning their wedding three weeks ago, amid the stress of buying their first home together and the holidays.
“It’s the holidays, it’s already stressful and we just bought a house together, so we’re dealing with that,” Courtney said. “Our family said, ‘Are you guys crazy?’ and we say, ‘Yes!’ It just felt like the right time.”
After taking their vows, Courtney and Jared treated their guests to vegan food at the reception.
Getting married at the last minute just felt natural to Courtney, who describes herself as a “free spirit.”
‘I really am a free spirit and I always have been and I don’t think that will go away after marriage, and so I felt like this was the right time and it all came together. she said.
Courtney said she’s ‘excited’ to get married again and said Jared ‘lights up’ her life

‘I feel excited. I feel like I’m on a journey to where I need to be. Everything that has happened so far has led me here.
Jared also spoke with the outlet on Tuesday. He called Courtney his “best friend” and that he was so “excited” to marry her in front of all their loved ones.
‘I feel great. I get to marry my best friend and the love of my life and I get to do it in front of her family and my family, so very excited,” said the CEO of Safier Entertainment.
Courtney reflected on the first time she met Jared and his reaction when she warned him not to “fall in love” with her.
“He looked at me like I was crazy, and he said, ‘What? Aren’t you going to fall in love with me at a business meeting?!” But I just felt like if this guy falls in love with me, I’m kind of done with it because I just felt this calling towards him, and our first kiss almost felt like it was our 80th kiss, the first kiss for me ,” she recalled to the outlet.
“It’s something I’ve never experienced before and it felt like it was an unspoken feeling. I felt like this is exactly where I need to be. It’s weird, but I just felt like I was meant to be with him, and I just needed to be with him, and everything is effortless and chaotic.”
Courtney briefly spoke to Us Weekly about her infamous marriage to Doug Hutchison, which ended in 2020.
She was just 16 years old when she married Hutchison, who was 51 at the time, in a wedding chapel in Las Vegas in 2011.
Because she was a minor, Courtney’s parents had to sign the union.

“I want to be happy, and I think the marriage that I went through in Vegas happened so quickly and I couldn’t process it because I was 16,” Courtney explained.
‘So this is so important to me, that I finally have the choice to get married. I don’t have to have a parent sign for this.’
She emphasized, “This is completely my decision.”
Courtney said she’s hoping for a “happy ending” this time.
‘I think it’s only natural for me to be nervous about my story, because I really want a happy ending. I want this to be it, and it’s nerve-wracking because there’s a lot of PTSD and a lot of different things going around, but I know I’m going to marry a wonderful man and I’m just hopeful, and so I feel all the feelings. .
“I just know my gut is telling me this is where I belong right now, and I’m just going to go with it,” the model concluded.
Courtney and Jared’s wedding comes six months after he proposed with a 5-carat, radiant-cut VVS ring at the famed Beverly Wilshire Hotel, as reported by TMZ.
Three months earlier, Courtney suffered a miscarriage.
“This is a difficult task, but I think it is important as others experience the exact same thing in silence,” the pin-up shared on Instagram.
‘I recently found out that I had an early miscarriage (about 10 weeks); it has been a rollercoaster of emotions.”
Courtney said she felt sadness in “every sense of the word.” She continued, “Even though sooner is better than later, I guess… it’s still a loss and I can’t shake the feeling of loneliness that comes with it.
“I share this to shine a light on the fact that no matter how early a loss occurs, it is still a loss.”
She said she tried to keep this to herself, as only a few close family members and friends know, but she felt that if she shared her story it could help others.
‘I thought it was important to just accept the fact and hopefully find some peace, because there is strength in numbers.
“If this has happened to you or will ever happen to you, it is not your fault. God bless everyone and count your blessings. We are all love ‘
She also thanked Jared for her “support” and publicly declared her “love” for him.
Jared is an industry veteran who has produced over 80 films under his production company Safier Entertainment.
He has also found success in the TV world, as he is a four-time Emmy Award winner.
Before Jared, Courtney was engaged to her boyfriend Chris Sheng. Courtney got engaged to Chris in 2021, when they announced the news on social media.
So when they broke up in July 2023, it became headline news. Courtney’s rep told Page Six at the time, “Courtney is now a single woman. She is looking forward to telling her story.”
A year later, Courtney shocked fans by flushing the $500,000 diamond engagement ring she gave her down her apartment toilet.
Days later, she made her and Jared’s engagement public.
This marks Courtney’s second marriage.
