Courtney Love’s hilarious story about her lack of sex with Liam Gallagher went viral just days after Oasis announced their shock reunion after 15 years.
The 60-year-old widow of Nirvana rocker Kurt Cobain had a lavish evening with the Wonderwall singer in 2000. However, she rejected his advances because of his appearance and personal hygiene. She compared Cobain to a “13th century serf.”
In a 2014 interview with Metro, she revealed that Liam played her his hit Songbird at London’s famous Groucho club.
She said the frontman asked her, “What do you think of me?” – to which Love replied, “I mean, he was nice, but he had really bad breath from being up all night. and his eyebrows crossed somewhere in the middle.
“And I just thought he looked like a 13th century Monty Python serf. And I said it out loud.”

The widow of Nirvana rocker Kurt Cobain, 60, enjoyed a raucous night with the Wonderwall singer in 2000 (pictured that year), but rebuffed his advances because of his appearance and personal hygiene. She compared him to a 13th-century serf.
She added that Liam wasn’t offended because he “didn’t understand me,” but that her daughter Frances was furious with her for rejecting him.
She said: ‘Frances, who loves Oasis more than Nirvana, was furious that I didn’t sleep with him. She texted me saying: “Mum, you’re an epic slut but you’ve never slept with Liam Gallagher!”‘
The couple were photographed in a taxi in London that year, sparking rumors of a romance.
She had previously said that she had been dying to meet Liam before they met and that she was fascinated by his singing ability.
She said, “I kept thinking. Liam is the talent! It’s not Noel! (I’m sure it’s unfair. It’s both of them.)
Fans responded en masse on social media to the resurfaced interview, with one writing: ‘There really is a Courtney love story for every occasion’.
Others wrote: ‘They never got together because they knew that at 14 I would make their tumultuous relationship my entire personality’ and ‘Epic Sl*t’ should be the title of her new album. She can dedicate it to her friend Madonna.’
Liam, 51, and his brother Noel, 57, caused a stir among Oasis fans this week when they finally announced their long-awaited reunion, 15 years after they last performed together.

Last month, Liam gave a sneak peek at X: ‘There’s some big stuff coming up, but I can’t tell you because it’s so big it’s going to blow your mind. I’m sworn to secrecy, sorry, I hope you understand.’
On July 24, he also revealed that he attended a photoshoot, which fans now know took place with his brother Noel and photographer Simon Emmett.
The band, completed by original guitarist Paul ‘Bonehead’ Arthurs, will play 14 shows next summer in Cardiff, Manchester, London, Edinburgh and Dublin.
Tickets for the Oasis Live 25 tour go on sale Saturday at 9am, with a pre-sale on Friday for select fans selected from a draw.
More than 4 million fans are expected to compete for the 1,066,888 available tickets for the 14 concerts, with sources telling The Sun that once tickets sell out, ‘additional dates will definitely be added’.
According to industry insiders, Bonehead have been “confirmed” for the tour and are “overjoyed” to be back together.
Liam and Noel Gallagher ‘both wanted him in their midst’ after he was ‘one of the driving forces behind the reunion’.

Oasis split in 2009 after years of internal feuding. Noel officially left the band just before a performance at a festival near Paris, saying at the time that he ‘simply couldn’t work with Liam another day’.
Even before their split 15 years ago, the brothers had a long-standing adversarial relationship and reportedly stopped speaking for years.
Fans have been begging the brothers to pull themselves together since they split and are now preparing for what they are calling the ‘ticket massacre of the century’.
