Courtney Cox, 60, showcases her smooth visage as she steps out in a chic sweater and jeans for dinner in LA – after joining the cast of Scream 7

Courtney Cox showed off her smooth face on Friday while heading to dinner at chic Italian restaurant Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica.

The Friends star, 60, wore minimal makeup to show off her ageless beauty as she donned a chic black sweater and jeans.

Courtney’s pants were accented with a belt and completed the effortlessly stylish look with a silver pendant necklace and matching hoop earrings.

She slipped her feet into a pair of comfortable black brogues as she carried her evening essentials in a woven leather handbag.

The outing comes after Courtney joined the cast of Scream 7, with a source of sledding for the star revealing Variety that she would return to the popular horror franchise and reprise her role as Gale Weathers.

The official Scream movies Instagram account confirmed the news via their Story by re-sharing the article and adding a link.

However, just two and a half months ago, the raven-haired beauty said she had not officially signed on to the project, even though it was confirmed to be in the works.

‘I’m not officially registered. I won’t, but there will be a Scream 7,” she told the outlet at the time.

Although details surrounding the plot and casting have been kept under wraps, the actress said she was waiting for a final script.

She also noted that she was “excited” that Kevin Williamson would be directing the film – his first in the beloved franchise.

‘You can’t get a better choice than that. It will be fun,” she said of Williamson, who was a screenwriter for the 1996 flagship film.

During the September interview, the Friends star hinted that writing her ex David Arquette’s character Dewey would return, despite her being killed off in the fifth film.

She said: ‘I understand the reasons why they did it, but whoa! Talk about a missed character.

“Dewey is so loved by Scream fans. They have to figure it out.”

It comes after she joined the cast of Scream 7, with a source for the star revealing to Variety that she would be returning to the hit horror franchise and reprising her role as Gale Weathers.

In addition to the original film, Courteney has returned in all other Scream releases, including 1997’s Scream 2, 2000’s Scream 3, 2011’s Scream 4, 2022’s Scream and 2023’s Scream VI.

However, there are no official plans to revive Arquette’s character in the upcoming film.

Courteney and her actor ex said “I do” in 1999 and welcomed daughter Coco, 20, in 2004.

Arquette starred in the first five films before his Dewey Riley was killed off in 2022’s Scream.

At the time, she explained that there was no timeline for deciding whether or not she would return to the franchise.

‘They are constantly rewriting. It’s not like I don’t know what’s going on,” she said.

In addition to the original film, Courteney has returned in all other Scream releases, including 1997’s Scream 2, 2000’s Scream 3, 2011’s Scream 4, 2022’s Scream and 2023’s Scream VI.

Scream 7 is scheduled to hit theaters on February 27, 2026.

Other cast members starring in the highly anticipated film include Neve Campbell, Patrick Dempsey, Celeste O’Connor, Isabel May and Roger Jackson.

In late July, Neve Cambell confirmed her return to the franchise and shared how “grateful” she is that the iconic films have had a lasting impact.

“I love these films, it’s so much fun to be a part of them, I’m so grateful for them, I never could have imagined that I would be part of a film that would have lasted so many decades,” she said.
