Courteney Cox opened up about her long-distance relationship with Snow Patrol musician Johnny McDaid while appearing on Drew Barrymore’s talk show on Tuesday.

The friends icon – who denied Prince Harry’s claims that took magic mushrooms at homeopened up alongside his Scream VI co-star Melissa Barrera in the back of an SUV as they drove through the streets of New York.

The 58-year-old beauty told Drew that McDaid flew from London to Hollywood to see her get her star on the Walk of Fame.

‘Yes, it was so sweet. She flew in from London; that’s where she lives,’ she said.

Barrymore commented that the long distance is too difficult for her.

Courteney responded: ‘As long as you’re confident, I think it doesn’t matter where you are. You can be yourself and at the same time get excited when you see each other.

Long time love! Snow Patrol musician McDaid showed the leading lady’s support of him as he flew in from London to attend the Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony on February 27.

Over the course of their romance, Johnny and Courteney were briefly engaged.

But they called off the engagement in 2015 only to get back together soon after.

Although they repaired their romantic relationship, they never got engaged again, although Courteney has suggested marriage isn’t entirely out of the question.

Last January, he spoke with People about the prospect of marrying Johnny.

She said: ‘I don’t know. I’m definitely not opposed to that. I just don’t think about it.

Barrymore also commented on seeing Courteney’s daughter Coco hug her mother during the ceremony.

‘When I saw Coco hugging you, what was it like having her there?’ she asked.

‘It felt so good. The things I do are still embarrassing, but she was proud and she made me so happy that she was willing to take a picture with me and hug me,” Cox said.

Kudrow said, “It’s been like this since we met almost 30 years ago,” before Jennifer chimed in with the quip, “No, not 30 years ago.” That’s a typo.

The duo ended their speeches on a moving note with Kudrow saying, “You are the definition of a truly beautiful, talented, and most importantly, truly good and decent human being…
