A young couple are lucky to be alive after a huge tree crashed onto their caravan during a violent storm.
Taylah Brown and her partner Griffin Rowe were on holiday at Tawonga Tourist Park, near Mount Beauty in north-east Victoria, when a tree flattened their vehicle on Wednesday.
The destruction left the caravan as a crumpled wreck.
Mrs Brown feared the worst during the terrifying ordeal as she initially could not see her partner, who had been lying on the sofa at the time.
“I looked to my left, I couldn't see Griffin, I just thought that was it. It was quite traumatizing,” Ms Brown said Nine news.
Mr Rowe added: 'I I was lying on the couch because the roof was almost over my face, so I just had to slide out.”
The couple escaped unscathed.
The couple and their families are still in shock after the terrifying ordeal.
Mrs Brown's father David added: 'When I jumped in the car all I heard was a crash on top of the car and my grandchildren were in it. Yeah, it was hard mate.”
Several other campers also felt the brunt of the wild weather.
Hundreds of tourists staying at the campsite were forced to evacuate due to damage caused by the wild storm.

Tawonga Park remains closed at the busiest time of year as emergency services work around the clock to restore power.
It is a popular campsite visited by locals and tourists for hiking and fishing.
The park is also known for its breathtaking views of Mount Bogon and the Kiewa Valley.
SES crews spent nearly two hours freeing a man trapped after a tree fell on him at Discovery Parks in Bright in Victoria's Alpine region.
His distraught wife and daughters watched as the man was treated by paramedics before being rushed to hospital.

Victoria has been hit by severe weather in recent times, with high winds and heavy rain causing flash flooding and widespread destruction in Melbourne and regional areas.
Tens of thousands of residents were without power Tuesday evening, while strong winds damaged dozens of properties.
Eastern parts of Victoria were also hit by another round of rain and thunderstorms on Thursday afternoon, while wet weather is expected to return on Sunday.
“The next stormy outbreak is underway in the second half of the weekend,” Bureau of Meteorology senior meteorologist Angus Hines said.
