A couple have infuriated residents after they were caught on CCTV dumping their extra rubbish into bins waiting to be emptied.
A man was filmed in Melbourne’s Thornhill Park at around 5.40am on Tuesday, wearing a bright orange hi-vis vest and carrying a black rubbish bag.
A woman standing behind him was still holding a full garbage bag.
The brash man walked over to a yellow trash can, brazenly lifted the lid and threw the bag inside.
He then checked the red trash can next to it and grabbed the woman’s trash bag.
The man was filmed in Thornhill park at around 5.40am on Tuesday, wearing a bright orange high-vis vest and carrying a black bin bag.
His accomplice pointed him to another yellow bin across the street.
A second CCTV camera captured the man crossing the road before dumping the bag inside.
The resident of this house posted on Facebook to express his anger at having to deal with the mess caused by the perpetrators.
“Our yellow bin wasn’t emptied this morning as this person went around putting trash bags in people’s recycling bins,” the woman wrote.
“The least you could have done was use the red bin.”
The woman also posted the images of the man in the hope that someone might know the duo.
‘If anyone recognizes this person, please let them know. If they had asked, we would have let them use our red bin.”
This was said by a spokesperson for Melton City Council Yahoo the resident should contact them to report the incident with any information, including video or photographic evidence.
‘These reports can be placed on the Council’s website. We urge the resident involved in this incident to contact the Council and report the matter,” he said.
‘The council will investigate when waste is dumped in recycling or green waste bins and penalties will apply.’

It’s frustrating that the neighborhood had been targeted before.
“This happened on Dawson Street and we found the person and knocked on the door and it hasn’t happened since,” one local resident wrote.
“We had a problem, we’re on Washington Drive,” said another.
“Honestly, it’s ridiculous and they’re not going to pay the fine for stuff that’s in the wrong bin. Absolutely ridiculous,” wrote another.
Many locals were angry about the man using the wrong bins.
“The red bin was also right next to it,” someone wrote.
“Really stinky behavior, at least use the right waste bin,” said another.
Other locals said if it happened to them they would handle it differently and give it back to the ‘bastards’.
“If I found out where they lived after they did that to me, that shit would be spread across their law or thrown out the window,” one person wrote.
“I’d throw it so hard at their door it would explode and go everywhere,” said another.
