Passenger left appalled over parents’ disgusting act in plane seat: ‘The smell is horrendous’

An airline passenger was disgusted by the foul odor left by parents as they changed their baby’s diaper mid-flight.
“The people in line ahead of me are changing a poopy diaper in their seat,” wrote the original poster – OP for short – on Reddit’s Delta subreddit.
‘The smell is horrible. Has anyone ever experienced this?
“There’s no reason not to do this in the bathroom.”
In later responses they indicated that it was a family of five with three children, the oldest of whom appeared to be about six years old.

The person said they eventually decided to switch seats to avoid the stench.
When a flight attendant asked them why they were seated elsewhere, they explained the situation, emphasizing the stench.
The flight attendant then spoke to the father.
“She told the father it was unsanitary and that he should do it in the bathroom. Luckily he just said okay and didn’t get mad,” they described.
That seemed to resolve the situation.
Hundreds of people responded to express their condolences over the disgusting situation.
“That is 100% something to say to them or an FA. There is LITERALLY no reason to deal with that s**t in the cabin,” one person wrote.
‘Oh yes, I’ve been through this before – family in the front row of the cabin (I was in the row behind). The father and the other child [f**ked] out while mom was changing the diaper. I wear a mask with some Vicks Vaporub in it, and it had a hard time filtering out the smell,” recalled a second of a parallel experience.

‘The sad thing was that the baby clearly had intestinal problems, because mom was changing the diaper every hour. After a while I heard someone in the cabin shouting where the f**k is the father, who [f**king] every time out.’
“Yes, people do this all the time because their logic is: well, it’s just baby poop. POOP IS POOP, it’s disgusting, use the fucking changing table,” argued a third.
‘I had this happen on a night flight. The smell literally woke everyone up. The FA came screaming at the mother telling her to go to the toilet. But the damage was done and it took a while for the smell to go away,’ said a fourth.
