Left-arm pacer Jaydev Unadkat returns to Sussex, England for the final five matches of the County Championship campaign.

Unadkat, who last represented India in the away two-Test matches against the West Indies in 2023, produced his best performance against Leicestershire at Sussex’s home ground, taking six wickets in the second innings to lead the countryside to a win over 15 points to pilot. .
Unadkat, who captained Saurashtra to their first Ranji Trophy title in the 2019-20 season, said he cannot wait to return to Hove.
“It was at Hove last season when we won a thriller against Leicestershire on the final day that made me feel like I belonged to county cricket, and to Sussex as my home,” Unadkat said in a statement.
“When (head coach) Farby (Paul Farbrace) offered me a contract for the final leg of the championship this season, I was sure I wanted to come back and hopefully win games with the boys.
“Although my first county season was a good one, I can’t wait to get back and push for that promotion everyone at Hove is aiming for this summer!” he added.
Sussex head coach Farbrace said Unadkat had shown his class last season and hoped the Indian would continue in the same vein this season.
“We are all delighted that Jaydev will be returning to The 1st Central County Ground for the final five Championship matches of next season.

Unadkat will don the Sunrisers Hyderabad jersey in the upcoming edition of the IPL, after which he will be available for a county stint.
