After her traditional father Chad battled mental illness silently for decades, she wrote a beautiful song called Real Man in which she sings about his struggles and how strong he is in reaching out for help.

Taylor had to call her father an ambulance after he hit rock bottom at his home in Noosa in 2019.
About the night that could have been the end for him, Chad said, “I didn’t feel like a man anymore, I felt very worthless, I felt like I couldn’t provide for my family, which is very important. for me.
“I didn’t want to be here anymore,” she added.
In Taylor’s song dedicated to her father, she sings about how strong he is: “He’s got this fragile and soft side / Seen tears in those hazel eyes / I held him in the kitchen as he dropped them / The strongest soul I have ever met / My rock, my most loyal friend / When I’m in trouble, he’s the one I call.’
The father and daughter duo teamed up to raise awareness for TIACS (This Is A Conversation Starter), which supports tradies and farm workers struggling with mental health issues.
