Cosy Kate! Princess of Wales dons a grey knitted vest to visit a community hub supporting Ukrainian refugees
The Princess of Wales got crafty during a painting session as she visited a community center in Bracknell this morning.
Kate, 41, looked ready for fall in a gray sweater, cardigan and trousers combo as she visited the Vsi Razom Community Hub, which supports Ukrainian refugees, but she wasn’t afraid to roll up her crisp white sleeves and show off her handprint to put on a canvas.
In a video posted to Twitter, the princess places a rubber glove over her hand and covers it with paint, adding her print to a mural of a tree with handprints painted as leaves. A moving detail are the handprints in blue and yellow: the colors of the Ukrainian flag.
Her Royal Highness’s visit marks the first anniversary of the hub after it was established in October 2022 by two women from Bracknell who wanted to help Ukrainians seeking resettlement in Britain.
‘Vsi Razom’ means ‘all together’ in Ukrainian, providing insight into the hub’s ethos and its desire to work together to help others.

As part of her visit, the mother of three will take part in helping with daily activities at the hub, including packaging donations of essential items into aid parcels that will be sent back to Ukraine.
The packages include non-perishable food and clothing.
She also hears from Ukrainian refugees who have settled in Bracknell Forest over the past year and who have been helped by the charity, about their stories of displacement since Vladimir Putin’s invasion.
Elsewhere, Kate meets volunteers for the service, who work hard every day to provide support and entertainment for the people using the hub – including craft sessions for local children.
The hub also employs a psychologist who works with Ukrainian refugees to provide mental health care as they integrate into Britain.

With mental health awareness and support being a huge passion for Waleses, Kate meets with the psychologist to discuss how support is provided.
Since the start of the conflict in Ukraine, the Prince and Princess of Wales have made a number of visits to highlight the plight of people in Ukraine and the generous support that communities and organizations across the UK have offered in response .
In addition, the Royal Foundation of The Prince and Princess of Wales convened a virtual roundtable last November to provide advice and share best practice in support of the First Lady of Ukraine’s Mental Health Strategy, which addresses the impact the ongoing conflict is having. on the spiritual well-being of Ukrainians.
Today’s visit to the hub is a solo trip for Kate, after she and William traveled to Cardiff on Tuesday to meet Windrush elders during a Black History month celebration.
The visit marked the 75th anniversary of HMT Empire Windrush’s arrival on British shores, and the Prince and Princess met members of a community group in the Welsh capital to hear how the Windrush generation was shaping society.
During the visit, the competitive couple each chose team members to compete against each other in a table tennis doubles match.
Upon arriving at the Grange Pavilion in the Welsh capital’s Grangetown suburb, the royal couple met schoolchildren eager to meet a real prince and princess.
Their Royal Highnesses shook hands with the young royal fans, while also giving some students a fist bump or a high five.
As they said hello to the young fans, who waved flags from Wales and other countries around the world, Prince William appeared mesmerized by a young student’s headband with two pink pompoms.
