Costco’s most-beloved seasonal treat returns to stores

Costco has brought back its popular Kirkland Signature Peppermint Bark, giving shoppers in the US and Canada a fun way to get into the holiday spirit.

Costco customers who have been shopping at the department store recently may have noticed the holiday treat in the bakery sections.

‘It’s the best. It’s so soft and just melts in your mouth,” said Costco shopper Laura Lamb (@costcohotfinds) in a TikTok video.

Costco shoppers can purchase the 21-ounce package of the peppermint treat for just $9.99 this year.

However, product prices may vary depending on taxes and store location.

Costco recently began offering its seasonal Kirkland Signature Peppermint Bark in select stores in the U.S. and Canada

Costco’s famous seasonal treat is made of dark and white chocolate topped with crushed peppermint candies.

“I was surprised but happy to see it back so early,” Lamb said in her Oct. 28 video.

The tasty seasonal treat is not gluten-free and is reported to contain wheat, soy and milk nutrition facts.

It may also contain peanuts and hazelnuts.

These nutritional facts aren’t enough to keep customers from wanting to buy the favorite treat at their local Costco.

‘I’m going to spoil my colleagues with it tomorrow! They just arrived at my store in Maryland,” one Costco customer wrote on Lamb’s Instagram video.

Others expressed their love for the “best” Costco treat, with one TikTok user writing that the peppermint bark was “so delicious and reasonably priced” after trying it last year.

Unlike this year, the department store chain offered a 21-ounce package of Kirkland Signature Peppermint Bark for $14.99.

Peppermint bark has been around for years, and one Instagram user wondered if it was similar to the treats Williams-Sonoma sells.

The Original Williams Sonoma Peppermint Bark is an exclusive product that can be purchased during the holidays for between €29.95 and €59.95.

Shoppers who choose to buy those from the company Peppermint Bark Sampler instead, you should be prepared to spend between $49.95 and $99.90.

If Williams Sonoma isn’t the place for peppermint bark fans, they can buy an almost five-star rating Chocolate peppermint bark tin on Amazon.

This year-round treat costs just $26.95 and even comes in a holiday tin.

Costco shoppers who aren’t fans of the seasonal treat can purchase a 15-pack of Häagen-Dazs’ limited edition Peppermint Bark Ice Cream Bars for $13.99.

Some lucky shoppers could find this product available at Costco for $3.50 and online for $12.27 until November 17th.

Prices for these products may vary depending on store location and taxes.

These seasonal holiday items were spotted at Costco locations shortly after the department store chain reported a sales increase in September and early October.

However, most of the sales were “due to abnormal consumer activity related to Hurricane Helene and port strikes.”

Products Costco shoppers rushed to buy essentials like toilet paper and bottled water.

Shoppers who purchased the items may also have noticed the reduced prices of Kirkland Signature products, some of which dropped by 13 percent.
