A Costco shopper from Oregon was shocked to find an unexpected creature after breaking one of her newly purchased eggs.
The buyer, known on TikTok as @xiomis95, posted a video on the social media platform two days ago after discovering a roundworm in one of her eggs.
“If you get eggs from f****** Costco, break them into a separate bowl,” she said before scooping up the roundworm with a fork.

The TikToker bought her eggs at Costco and has since advised other egg buyers to crack their eggs into a separate bowl, in case there is a worm in one of the eggs
Roundworms are small organisms that can live in the intestines of humans or animals, sometimes for a long time.
The Cleveland Clinic reads that a roundworm has a long round body that can come in different sizes depending on the type.
Roundworms can also cause several health problems, including stomach pain. fever and diarrhea.
This isn’t the first time Costco shoppers have found roundworms.

New York Costco customer Jack Sanchez was disturbed after spotting a roundworm in a pack of salmon while at the checkout counter in 2019.
Sánchez said PIX11 news that he called a manager, who told him it was “pretty normal” for the salmon to have a worm or parasite.
Rachel Lyn posted a TikTok video in 2023 after finding a roundworm in a package of salmon at a Costco in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Lyn’s video quickly went viral and has now been viewed almost 5 million times.
