The deranged stalker pelted Ryan Connor in the face with a glass full of acid last month in shocking scenes after the bartender stepped in to protect Daisy, who was the original target.

And in the aftermath of the attack, Daniel is left in shock when Justin fails to take responsibility for his crime, bracing himself to break the news to his fiancé Daisy, who was unable to make it through the hearing. to live.

Meanwhile, Ryan is still struggling to come to terms with his facial injuries as he remains hospitalized after the attack.

While his mood drops even further when Daisy tells him the news and a shocked Alya Nazir that Justin pleads not guilty.

Ryan is left in turmoil when he admits he is terrified at the thought of having to relive the whole nightmare in a court full of people.

And while Alya assures him she’ll be by his side all the way, Ryan admits he loves her – but does she feel the same way?

In the midst of Ryan’s declaration of love to his ex, Daisy brings his latest girlfriend Crystal to visit him in hospital and it’s not long before Ryan admits that the pair talking about performing in Ibiza has given him something to focus on.

Later, the DJ is joined by Carla Connor for support as he tells the surgeon he is finally ready to look at his injuries.

However, as he stares at his face in the mirror, the surgeon breaks the mews that his face isn’t healing as well as hope and that he needs a skin graft.

Later, Daisy and Carla enter Ryan’s room to find that he is missing and his backpack is gone, forcing a hasty search to be organized.

Daisy and Carla soon discover an obviously traumatized Ryan at the tram station.

And in the midst of Ryan’s misery, Daisy confesses to her fiancé Daniel that she can’t bring herself to tell Ryan that Crystal wants nothing more to do with him.

Later Ryan is told by medics that the skin graft was successful and he can go home later today.

Ryan and Carla go to the cafeteria, but Ryan struggles when he sees a group of nurses giggling and wonders if they are laughing at him.

Meanwhile, a little girl runs into Ryan’s room chasing her ball before stopping to stare at Ryan’s face with curiosity.

Ryan struggles to face the world with his changed face and tells Alya he wants to be alone.

In an interview, Ryan actor Ryan Prescott talked about how his character will deal with the world with his injuries.

He said, “Once Ryan realizes he’s always going to stand out from the crowd and look different, certain things start to get him into that spiral of negative thinking.”

“One of the things he puts so much effort into while he’s in the hospital is trying to change these thoughts and not let his injuries define who he is. But when he hears a group of nurses laughing together, it’s a trigger and he automatically thinks they’re laughing at him.

“There’s also a moment when a little girl looks at Ryan. She’s so innocent and Ryan sees her reaction to him in her eyes; fear. Ryan knows that because she’s a young kid, her reaction to him is organic and natural and will probably be everyone else’s reaction no matter how they cover it. The little girl’s reaction is so raw it triggers Ryan.”

On how the attack has changed Ryan, he added: “It’s going to make him grow, all the pain is where we grow as people in general. Ryan steps out of that fun-loving, almost naive, opportunistic nature.

“He has a comedic streak, but this event will deepen him and perfect his character. Ryan doesn’t look the same as he used to and he won’t for a very long time, so these are the things that will affect him along the way.

“He’s going to change, his whole world is going to change, and the way he acts is going to change. He’s going through real trauma, real desperation and real heartbreak.”
