Corrie fans are in shock as Gemma makes a ‘bold entrance’ down the isle as she marries Chesney

Coronation Street viewers were in shock when Gemma Winter walked down the aisle on Monday to marry Chesney Brown in a striking orange wedding dress.

ITV viewers couldn’t believe their eyes when Gemma made ‘a huge entrance’ into the church wearing the ‘right loud dress’ during the latest episode.

She stepped out on her big day in a huge orange dress with a six foot wide net skirt that reached the floor, fairy lights and giant swirls.

Staying away from the traditional white color, she donned a coordinated orange veil and her seven-foot dress billowed behind her.

She was walked down the aisle by her twin brother Paul, who changed his mind at the last minute and decided to attend.

When she appeared, partner Chesney couldn’t believe his eyes and said ‘Wow!’.

Fans were also in shock at the flashy ensemble, but gushed that they “expected nothing else” from Gemma.

One wrote: ‘That wedding dress definitely made an entrance #corrie’.

A second said, “Gemma’s dress, wow. #Corrie,” while another gushes, “OMG I LOVE IT THE DRESS.”

A fourth added: ‘Sensational dress. And the lights….wow’.

Another wrote: ‘Loooool, now that’s a real LOUD dress! Wouldn’t expect less, but damn! All flashing ‘n all!’.

A sixth said, “Well that was an entrance,” another joked, “Gemma’s wedding dress is all lit up like the Blackpool lights!”

While other fans gushed about how “iconic” Gemma is walking down the aisle to Girls Aloud’s hit single The Promise.

One said, “It was also the perfect choice to play Girls Aloud with Gemma walking down the aisle.”

Another commented, “The fact that Gemma walks down the aisle to Girls Aloud The Promise is iconic in itself!”

The pair shared sweet vows before enjoying a feast that was later revealed to have been partially paid for by Chesney’s late partner Katy’s mother Linda.

Linda made some sly comments about the bland food and decorations all along, telling Gemma’s mother Bernie that she “would have loved to pay for the reception too.”

Bernie had no idea that Linda had helped and confronted Gemma and Chesney.

Linda gushed, “The suits, the flowers, the buffet, the cake, and sipping this delicious champagne. It was given to me.’

Less impressed, Bernie took a handful of the huge wedding cake and smothered it in Linda’s face.

As the wedding reception progressed, Paul gave an emotional speech before bursting into tears.

Gemma chased after her twin brother and demanded that he tell her what’s going on.

She said, ‘I’m your twin sister, I know when you lie. Tell me what’s going on.’

He finally told her, “I’m going to die okay, I’m going to die!”
