Corrections NZ announces $5 million EHR deal
New Zealand’s Ministry of Justice is to implement a patient management system from Canada to improve health care for people in custody.
The company recently signed a NZ$9 million ($5.3 million) agreement with EHR solutions provider Intrahealth to supply its PMS for seven years.
In a statement, Intrahealth said the solution “will improve operational efficiency by automating tasks, reducing paperwork and simplifying processes, allowing the healthcare team to focus on delivering quality patient care.” The PMS will also ensure the privacy of patient data through advanced security protocols and regular audits.

Latest Personify Care Digital Pathways Implementations in Western Australia and New Zealand
The Endoscopy and Gastroscopy departments of Fiona Stanley Fremantle Hospitals Group (FSFHG) in Western Australia are now equipped with digital patient pathways from Personify Care.
Personify Care’s digital pathways were initially implemented to LifeFit SurgFit program of South Metropolitan Health Service, a network of which the FSFHG is a part.
Colonoscopy and gastroscopy patients are now automatically enrolled in the program via a simultaneous integration with the patient administration system WebPAS. Their patient-reported information is also automatically uploaded to the BOSSnet digital medical record.
A press release shows that the two-way integration with the digital medical record and PAS reduces the time spent on patient screening, detects clinical risks early and reduces cancellations and waiting times.
Personify Care’s digital patient pathways have also been implemented in the surgical environments of MercyAscot Private Hospitals in New Zealand.
According to Personify Care, the implementation will streamline the patient admission process, improve patient flow and reduce uncertainty surrounding hospital admission.
